Grantee Spotlight: Families Forward, Pasadena

Together Toward Health and the Pasadena Public Health Department met with local TTH grantees Day One, Families Forward, and Young and Healthy to develop an outreach and education campaign for their communities, which have been hit hard by COVID-19. One challenge they face is addressing misinformation and myths about vaccination. The partners plan on using social media live events, educational pop-up locations (e.g., supermarkets), and public service announcements to engage their communities in understanding vaccination and how to prepare for it. They also plan to identify mass vaccination locations and develop/share scripts, slide decks, and mailers for distribution. By acting now, they will encourage and educate around mass vaccination so their community is ready as vaccinations become available.
